Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Triage and Assessment: You will be tasked with conducting clinical triage for dermatology referrals. This includes providing thorough assessments, diagnoses and treatment plans for a wide range of dermatological conditions, both acute and chronic. You’ll be responsible for ensuring each patient receives appropriate care and advice tailored to their specific medical needs.
2. Performing Minor Surgical Procedures: As part of the role, you will conduct minor surgeries, including excisions for low-risk basal cell carcinoma, in accordance with national clinical guidelines. This part of the role will require precision and adherence to best practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
3. Patient Management and Care Planning: In addition to offering expert treatment, you will manage patient prescriptions, following the guidance of the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) formulary. You will also play a vital role in empowering patients by supporting self-management plans, helping them manage their conditions effectively.

You will be expected to stay informed about relevant medical literature and participate in ongoing training. Compensation and Work Hours:

• The role offers a competitive payment structure in line with Communitas Clinics’ standards.
• The scheduling of clinics will be flexible, arranged in agreement with the Clinician Managers. However, any changes in scheduling require at least one month’s notice.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check:

This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. As such, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be conducted to determine any prior criminal convictions.
