Job Responsibilities

4. Learning Mast and Attachment Repair:
   • Develop the ability to diagnose and repair mast and attachment components of forklifts, ensuring these vital parts are functioning correctly.
5. LPG, Electrical and Diesel Systems Expertise:
   • Gain proficiency in diagnosing and repairing LPG (liquid petroleum gas), electrical and diesel systems.

   • Be able to repair or replace ignition systems, ensuring the smooth functioning of these essential components.
6. Parts Replacement and Major Repairs:
   • Identify defective or broken parts and replace them from stock parts.

   • Conduct thorough safety inspections of forklifts before they are returned to the work floor.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for the position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Experience and Knowledge:
   • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of technical and mechanical aspects of forklifts.
   • Knowledge of electromechanical, automotive and electrical trade qualifications is preferred.
   • Willingness to learn proper servicing techniques to perform preventative maintenance on all makes and models of forklifts available in the market.
2. Mechanical Aptitude:
   • A strong foundation in mechanical aptitude is essential, with the ability to learn from experienced tradesmen and apply that knowledge in the field.
3. Driver’s License and Safety:
   • Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a drug screen.

Compensation

The annual income for this role, based on a standard 38-hour workweek (excluding superannuation), ranges between A$90,000 and A$110,000 per annum. The exact salary offered will be commensurate with industry rates, the candidate’s skills and prior experience.
