Job Overview:
- Conduct Assessments: Perform biomechanical, fitness and functional assessments for patients.
- Collaborate with Patients: Work closely with patients to set realistic functional goals and create a plan to achieve them.
- Provide Fitness and Rehabilitation Training: Lead sessions designed to improve fitness or aid in rehabilitation based on the patient’s specific needs.
- Educate Patients: Provide guidance and education to patients on recommended treatment plans, ensuring they understand the steps required for their recovery.
- Work as a Team: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assess the patient’s condition, needs and progress.
- Maintain Patient Records: Use electronic charting software to document and track patient progress, ensuring medical information is readily available when needed.
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in kinesiology to provide the best possible care.

Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or a related field is required.
- Certification: You must be a certified Kinesiologist or be eligible for certification.
- Anatomy and Physiology Expertise: Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics is essential.
- Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and a strong understanding of common medical conditions are necessary.
- Acute Care Experience: While not required, experience working in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Time Management and Organization: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively are key to succeeding in this role.
- Communication Skills: You must be able to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating computers and using electronic medical record systems is required.
- Language Proficiency: Being bilingual in English and French is considered an asset but is not required.

Compensation:
- Pay: $50,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Work Schedule:
- Day shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekends as needed
Location and Relocation:
- The position is based in Coquitlam, BC V3J 2R5 and candidates must either be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting the role.
Experience Required:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Kinesiologist is required for this position.
License/Certification:
- BCAK certification (British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists) is required.
